| Abstract: | U.S. Navy Commander Lloyd Gordon Findley Papers, includes copy of the inaugural address (1959) of Richard Barrett Lowe, Governor of Guam. An article about life in Koror, published by Saturday Evening Post, December 20 1952. A copy of the speech of Amata Kabua, then president of the Marshall Islands Congress asking for compensation from the United States for the Marshalls. There are also miscellaneous newspapers clips related to Guam 1946-1961. Also there are several copies of articles about the Trust Territories of the Pacific Islands. Included is a log book of activities in the Pacific. |
| Description: | Lloyd Gordon Findley, Captain, USN Head of Civil Affairs was a liaison with the leaders from the islands under the Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands. He maintained correspondence and produced several reports of his duties during the years 1956-1959. |
