Abstract: | Members of the Order of Friars Minor Capuchin (Latin: Ordo Fratrum Minorum Capuccinorum; postnominal abbr. O.F.M.Cap.) ultraconservative Basques from Navarre, Spain, opposed coeducation and other practices introduced by the Americans on Guam, such as the granting of divorces. The U.S. Naval Government began to replace the Spanish Capuchins with American Capuchins in 1937. |
