| Abstract: | This collection consists of excerpts from the work of Nikolai Nikolaevick Miklacho-Maclay's (1846-1888) collected papers dealing with the western Carolines (in Rusian). Selections from Reichkolonialamt concerning the Carolines and Marshalls (in German). English translation of Kramer Palau volume 4, p. 110-197, and a handwritten translation of footnotes from p.1-196 relating to Palauan legends. |
| Description: | Extent 0.15 linear feet (3 folders) Mark L. Berg worked as a translator with the Micronesian Area Research Center in a project funded by a grant from Title III from 1981 to 1982. His work was published as Kolonialzeitung--chronological list of articles in German Micronesia, (1888-1921) MARC Working Papers No. 41. Micronesian Area Research Center, University of Guam 1984. He donated his collection of papers in 1982. |
