This collection consists of sixteen large envelopes and a notebook. Herbert T. Ward, a teacher in the Guam School System in the 1960’s wrote extensively about the German warship Cormoran (1917). These papers consist of his manuscripts in several stages of development, plus official papers on the subject. Herbert T. Ward died on the shipwreck site in 1975, which may have been a result of an accident. He was 46 when he died and his ashes were scattered over the site of the Cormoran wreck.en_US
